2.5: Confession of Shopaholics

Location: Queensbay!!

Next we headed to Queensbay Mall, the most famous and recent mall in Penang.

What is special about it is:

• It is huge. If you were to visit the whole mall in one day, your legs would pretty much fall off.
• It has a lot of branded shops, not common in Penang where people shop the streets.
• It is right beside the ocean. A seaside mall, literally! The view of the bridge is spectacular from the mall.

We arrived at Queensbay Mall a bit late, as we had gone to many other places before that. Getting to Queensbay was a challenge, as our driver did not know the confusing streets of Penang by heart. Thank God for road signs!

Finally we arrived, after taking double the time it actually takes. But before we entered the mall, we rode a little roller coster. No, really. The parking lot, was a roller coster! The ground was filled with a thousand holes and ditches that made us jump around in the car!

Hey people of Queensbay, you better patch up those holes before someone gets hurt!

Enter Queensbay Mall.

“Oh my god oh my godddd let’s go to Forever 21! SALE SALE SALEEEE!”

(Those are the voices of 3 passionate shoppers in our group)

“Um. Ok.”

(Those are the voices of the other 2 members, not a fan of shopping to say the least)

We spent quite a while browsing through Forever 21.

Oh murahya! (How cheap!)

Eh, cantik tak ni? (Is this pretty?)

Yang ni dengan yang ni, padan tak? (Do these match)

Cantiknyeeeee (How pretty!)

Nak yang ni lah! (I want this one!)

And so on..

Upon exiting, nothing but some RM5 jewelry was bought.

“Um. Ok”
