Location: P. Ramlee House
Fee : Free of Charge!
Every Malaysian ought to know who P.Ramlee
is and for those who did not know, P. Ramlee was born in Penang. So, we took
this chance to visit his birth house. The house is not so far from our
penthouse. So, after driving round by round, not knowing where we were though
we have 7 maps in our hands, finally, we arrived there. There were not many
people. It was like only 2 cars including us. Besides the house, there is a
gallery. We went there. However, there
are no photos since we cannot take pictures inside the gallery.
The moment we stepped in, we felt his
existence. Really. With all the clothes he had wore during his lifetime, all
the instruments he used.
Then, we excitedly walked to the house. The
very house that P.Ramlee had been born. Take pictures before we entered.
And finally, we entered the house with
no-pictures-can-be-taken sign. The house is beautiful that we cannot let our
camera to not do its work! So, with a very brave heart, we took out the camera.
Snap pictures here and there:
It’s not just that we took pictures illegally, we crossed the line even. Well, people before us did the same. (The more the “no” sign, the more likely we’re going to do it.) We just copied them and plus, we found it is interesting in P.Ramlee’s bedroom.
One of the most significant scenes in one of
P.Ramlee’s movies is when the bujang lapuk were queuing for a toilet! We acted
it out and we felt them. Hehe.
Well. a little bit of a modern version there. Before we proceed to the next location, a bye-bye-rumah-P-Ramlee-picture was taken. Ah. The feeling of being there is just indescribable!
Here's a video before we went to Chow Rasta!
