Top 5 most interesting (and perhaps bizarre) things that we found throughout our travel on Penang:
- Nasi Kandar Penang is outrageously overrated. Or perhaps it’s our fault anyway for not having it on famous restaurants like Nasi Kandar Beratur.
- We don’t know what goes wrong with the JPN in Penang but it seems to us as if JPN is giving away all those licenses to all the wrong people. The driving was mad! Be it the car driver, motoryclist, cyclist or even the pedestarians! Now we know where’s Aina got her skills in driving. *smirk*
- We are hugely dissapointed to find out there’s not much beautiful Anak Mami around or perhaps because they all hidden somewhere in the crooks of Penang where we haven’t stepped our foot on. Apparently we must accept the fact that the only Anak Mami that we found enchantingly beautiful for the time being is Fasha Sanda.
- The old folks people in Penang are the coolest bunch we ever seen. They are productive, warm and young at heart. (Though some of them are pretty scary too like The Pushy Grandma and The Scary Uncle!)
- The architecture in Penang is breathtaking. The buildings are old but still beautifully preserved in their condition. Going to Penang make you feel like you have gone back to the old days when the television is still black and white.
The topmost thing that we find interesting (and bizarre) throughout our travel in Penang is:
The weird behaviour of people we travel with!
- Aina with her mad driving skills
- Akmar with her never ending hunger for food (and shopping)
- Kiko & Rabab with their weird dancing in the car once the disco beat is on the radio
- Dayang for being the worst window-shopper ever - touching and drooling over everything in the store but end up buying nothing. (It makes avid shoppers like Akmar, Kiko & Rabab tremendously inferior for having to spend our money too much on shopping!)
